{"id":209,"date":"2022-03-19T08:39:50","date_gmt":"2022-03-19T08:39:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jagdroid.org\/jagdroid-cd\/?page_id=209"},"modified":"2025-05-20T09:11:41","modified_gmt":"2025-05-20T09:11:41","slug":"jagdroid-cassette-bluetooth-user-guide-2000-2003-2","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/jagdroid.org\/jagdroid-bt\/jagdroid-cassette-bluetooth-user-guide-2000-2003-2\/","title":{"rendered":"JagDroid-BT User Guide &#8211; XJ X300 (1994-1997)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-left\" id=\"h.p_mYMprle0nxqU\">JagDroid-BT is an upgrade to the factory CASSETTE player which adds Bluetooth audio streaming functionality<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note that JagDroid-BT does not support handsfree telephone calling, it supports only audio streaming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h.p_63neiKO6oZ_S\">Operating instructions &#8211; X300 model years 1994-1997:<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>IMPORTANT<\/strong>: You need to have an audio cassette in the player for the Bluetooth function to work<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h.p_63neiKO6oZ_S\">Basic functions:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>PAIRING A BLUETOOTH DEVICE<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure you have an cassette in the player<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Press <strong>TAPE<\/strong> to enable Cassette\/Bluetooth mode &#8211; if cassette audio is heard, press <strong>A.MEM<\/strong> and you will hear silence which indicates Bluetooth mode is active<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Press <strong>TA <\/strong>to enter Bluetooth discovery mode <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On your Phone, go to the Bluetooth menu and search for devices &#8211; you will see <strong>JagDroid-BT<\/strong> appear, select this device to connect<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>PLAYING AUDIO VIA BLUETOOTH<\/strong><ul><li>On your Phone check that the volume is set to maximum, play your music and it will be received by the JagDroid-BT unit and played through the Jaguar speakers<\/li><li><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Please note that the X300 does not have steering wheel controls, so you have to control the track selection on the phone itself<\/span><\/li><\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Press <strong>A.MEM<\/strong> to switch between Cassette audio and Bluetooth audio modes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Press <strong>REVERSE<\/strong> (<strong>number 4<\/strong>) to send a PLAY\/PAUSE command over Bluetooth<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>RECONNECTING TO BLUETOOTH<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>The JagDroid-BT unit will automatically connect to the last connected Bluetooth device when the ignition is switched on.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the Bluetooth device is disconnected for any reason, go to the Bluetooth settings on your Phone and choose <strong>JagDroid-BT<\/strong> from your list of known devices to re-connect. If the connection is not successful press <strong>TA <\/strong>to enter discovery mode and try again<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>TROUBLESHOOTING<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>If you &#8216;Forget&#8217; the Jagdroid-BT bluetooth device from your phone, simply press <strong>TA <\/strong>while the JagDroid-BT player is in bluetooth mode (i.e. cassette in the player and playing, but no sound heard from the system). This will re-enter discover mode and your phone should be able to re-pair<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please note that when the cassette reaches the end it will auto-reverse, and the Bluetooth audio will be muted for a short moment &#8211; this is normal<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you still have issues please send a direct message through the Facebook page for assistance! <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/jagdroid.org\">http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/jagdroid.org<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h.p_wEXcIJ5kplWb\">Configuration mode:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Hold MODE for approx 5 seconds <\/strong>&#8211; Enter configuration options mode (you will hear 5 clicks)\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Press &lt;&lt; <\/strong>&#8211; Enable\/disable auto-stop via bluetooth: When changing from TAPE (bluetooth) mode to AM\/FM or CDC, automatically send a STOP command to the currently paired bluetooth audio device (1 click = disabled, 2 clicks = enabled).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Press &gt;&gt; <\/strong>&#8211; Enable\/disable auto-play via bluetooth: When changing from AM\/FM, CDC or Radio Off to TAPE (bluetooth) mode, automatically send a PLAY command to the currently paired bluetooth audio device (1 click = disabled, 2 clicks = enabled).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Press ENTER<\/strong> &#8211; Enable\/disable auto-reconnect to last connected bluetooth device on power-up.
